Awareness

We at "Friends of Wessex Assisting Dogs" give talks and demonstrations to community groups and schools across the Wessex area to raise awareness of the life changing work that these wonderful animals do. To book a talk please contact us.

Grants

We raise funds and give grants to our charity partners for the placement of working dogs in the Wessex area.

We give grants to local client and assisting dog partnerships to cover special or emergency requirements e.g. travel, vet’s bills, food and specialised equipment.

Support

We provide local liaison and support for on behalf of our charity partners.

We provide emergency assistance to local client and assisting dog partnerships, including travel and boarding.

We provide information to local people and authorities regarding the benefits and availability of assisting dogs.
